West Saanich Medical Clinic is seeking a Primary Care Provider (General Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner) to support our evening urgent access clinic. This role focuses on episodic and acute care, helping improve access for unattached patients and reducing non-emergency volumes in local Emergency Departments.

Role Summary

This position provides same-day and urgent primary care services in a collaborative, team-based environment. The clinic is designed to support patients with acute concerns while maintaining efficient, high-quality care delivery.

The successful candidate will:

  1. Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for acute and episodic concerns
  2. Initiate treatment plans, including prescribing medications within regulatory guidelines
  3. Collaborate with Medical Office Assistants and the Clinic Manager to ensure smooth clinic operations
  4. Work both autonomously and within an interdisciplinary team
  5. Refer patients to specialists and allied health services as appropriate

Schedule

  1. Evening shifts: Wednesdays & Thursdays
  2. Hours: 18:00 – 23:00
  3. Flexible scheduling and shift lengths available

Compensation

  1. Base Rate: $185.77 per hour
  2. Evening Premium (18:00–23:00): +$25.00/hour
  3. Weekend/Holiday Premium (08:00–23:00): +$25.00/hour
  4. Night Premium (23:00–08:00): +$35.00/hour
